Toshiba launched its first dual-core Atom-powered netbook in the market – Toshiba NB520.The netbook sports pretty standard configuration. You get 1GB of DDR3 RAM, 250GB hard disk drive, Windows 7 Starter and the not-so-powerful GMA 3150 graphics.

NB520 has the best speakers in the netbook category. The speakers are said to have fair amount of bass; USB sleep-n-charge function is nifty for charging your USB powered gadgets even when the netbook is not ‘on’; Great battery life – 10 hours (without Wi-Fi).

Expect around 6-7 hours with Wi-Fi on; Decent keyboard; The display quality is just like what you would get from budget netbook. It is not like Macbook Air, but still usable and good enough for web-surfying and showing off your latest vacation pics to friends.
